# iOS App Connection

Using the dedicated Qudelix app, you can perform firmware updates, configure features, and set up EQ for the Qudelix 5K.

The Qudelix mobile app is not related to Bluetooth audio streaming. Even without the Qudelix app, the device functions like a standard Bluetooth audio device, supporting HFP calls and A2DP audio playback.

## Connecting

The Qudelix iOS app uses a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) link unlike the Android app.

Therefore, even if the device is not paired with the iPhone, the Qudelix app can still be connected to it.

When the Qudelix app is running and connected to the 5K device, 'Qudelix-5K Connected' will appear under MY DEVICES, as shown above. If the app is closed and the BLE connection between the app and the device is disconnected, 'Qudelix-5K Connected' will disappear from MY DEVICES.

Once the app and the 5K device are connected, the underline bar indicating the selected tab at the top of the app will turn red. A gray underline indicates that the connection is disconnected.

Notice**:**

The 5K supports multipoint pairing and can connect to two smartphones simultaneously. However, the app connection supports only one device at a time. When using multipoint pairing, if you want to connect the app to another smartphone, you must first disconnect the existing connection by closing the Qudelix app on the current smartphone.
